I feel the same in some games, almost exclusively in third person games.

I expect a lot of the more detailed analysis is hidden behind paywalls. But I don't see any evidence anywhere that PC gaming is currently growing as a proportion of the market.Īlthough, interestingly, it's hard to find super-clear numbers on this. I'm always happy to be wrong, because that means I learn something. My suspicion is that your understanding of relative vs absolute growth is not good, or that you're taking my statements about the market share of PC gaming as a personal insult, or something. You can see in the Statista numbers how the growth rate of PC gaming has flattened out substantially since about 2016 (except for the big jump in 2020 which happened to all gaming), while console gaming has continued to grow at about the same pace. The last like 3 years of game industry media is like 20% think pieces about why PC gaming is declining as a share of market. What I said is just based on the stats I've been able to find by googling. I don't see anything on the link you posted that shows PC gaming growing as a share of the market.
